I've tried getting each of them to submit a survey on how they each do it but everyone seems reluctant to change.
Response

Thank you for sharing your client’s challenge with me. Given my experience working with similar clients in the Marketing industry, I have a few recommendations to help with the issue of getting alignment on the best way to execute a process:

1. Conduct a facilitated workshop: Bringing all parties together in a facilitated workshop can be an effective way to elicit different perspectives and create a common understanding of the challenges and opportunities. During the workshop, you can guide them through exercises that help identify pain points in executing the process, and engage them to brainstorm solutions together. This can lead to a collaborative approach to process improvement and buy-in from all parties.

2. Use a decision-making framework: If the challenge is more around deciding which approach to take, a decision-making framework such as DACI (Decide, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) can be effective. The framework helps clarify roles and responsibilities for decision-making and can create a structure for clear implementation of the process.

3. Implement a project management tool: Sometimes the misalignment could stem from communication issues or lack of clarity around tasks and timelines. Implementing a project management tool can improve communication, provide visibility on task assignment and completion, and help track progress towards the shared goal.

4. Explore industry best practices: There may be best practices within the industry that your client can learn from. For example, they can research how other successful companies in the industry execute the process, and learn from their best practices. This can provide some insights into what works and what doesn’t and may provide some alternative approaches to consider.

In summary, a facilitated workshop, decision-making framework, project management tool, or exploration of industry best practices could be effective strategies to help your client align on the best way to execute the process. I hope these recommendations help you work towards success with your client.
