Step-By-Step Instructions #

  • Identify the Content to Make Public:
    • Determine which specific content or page on your platform you want to make accessible to the public. For example, it could be a job posting or any content that doesn’t require users to be logged in.
  • Copy the URL:
    • Go to the public page you’ve identified and copy the URL from the browser’s address bar. This URL will be used to grant public access to the content.
  • Access the Platform Backend:
    • Log in to the backend of your platform.
  • Navigate to Community Settings:
    • In the backend, locate and click on the “Community” section. Look for the “Settings” option within this section.
  • Configure Privacy Settings:
    • Within the settings, find the “Privacy” section. Here, you can control what content is public. You may see default URLs related to registration. Paste the copied URL directly beneath the existing ones.
  • Save Settings:
    • After pasting the new URL, save your settings to apply the changes.
  • Purge Modules Object Cache:
    • It’s recommended to purge the modules object cache after making changes to ensure that updates are noticeable by non-logged-in users. Find the option to purge the cache and execute it.
  • Check Public Access:
    • Open an incognito or private browsing window to simulate a non-logged-in user. Paste the copied URL and check if the content is now accessible to anyone on the internet without requiring login credentials.
  • Verify Public Access:
    • Ensure that the content is visible without the need for logging in. Confirm that the sign-in link is present, and the menu structure reflects the view of a non-logged-in user.
  • Optional: Customize Menus for Non-Logged-In Users:
    • If needed, you can create specific menus tailored for non-logged-in users to enhance their experience.

By following these steps, you can successfully make specific content on your platform public, allowing anyone on the internet to access it without the need for a user account or login credentials.
