Instructions #
- To create a course, make your way to the left sidebar, expand the LMS tab, and click on “Courses”.
- Click the “Add New” button at the top of the page.
- Add a title of your course, a short description of your course, and a video preview of your course (if applicable).
- Click “Save Draft” until you are ready to actually publish your course.
- Click on the “Builder” tab at the top.
- Build out your course with Sections, Lessons, Topics, and/or Quizzes.
- Sections – sections work to separate lessons within your course, much like “chapters” in a book. They don’t contain content and merely act as separators.
- Lessons – Lessons are the first hierarchy level after sections. Should you only need one hierarchy level, then put all of the relevant content into a lesson. Should you need more than one hierarchy level, then use Topics.
- Topics – Topics are a part of a lesson and assist in breaking down lessons into more micro or bite-sized chunks of learning.
- Quizzes – Quizzes are a great way to utilize a knowledge check for the content you’ve created. Quizzes can be added at the course level, the lesson level, or the topic level.
